Commissions

What is the turnaround time to receive a commissioned painting?

I always recommend enquiring about commissions 2-3 months ahead of any occasions as I do get booked up. For busy periods like Christmas, I tend to close my order books during September. Once I've started your painting, it will take anywhere from 2 days to a week depending on your request. Please feel free to get in touch for current turnaround time estimates.

Can I order prints of my commissioned paintings?

Yes! If you would be interested in prints, please let me know when ordering your commissioned painting. I can provide these at an additional cost. Please note that I own the copyright to all paintings and therefore the reproduction or reselling of any original artwork without prior permission is strictly prohibited.

Do you provide a framing service?

Sort of. I don't have the skills or materials to frame works professionally, but I can provide pre-made frames upon request for local collection. I can also recommend local professional framers who I trust.

How do I care for my painting?

Typically, it is known that watercolour paintings can fade over time, especially if placed in direct sunlight. I'd advise framing the painting as soon as possible, as the glass will help reduce ageing and protect it from dust and sunlight damage. I'd also recommend hanging somewhere that isn't above a radiator.

Wedding Stationery

Do you do sample packs?

Yes, sample packs include some examples of our main collection designs for you to have a look at in person. They’re £10 each, and if you go ahead with an order, this will be deducted from the final invoice.

Can sample packs be personalised?

Unfortunately not, but our sample packs give a good indication of our designs and how they look and feel in real life so we’d still recommend ordering one of these to get an idea.

When should we order our save the dates?

Typically around 12-18 months before the wedding, however any time from when you book the venue and have the date sorted is great as it gives people the time to make arrangements for travel or book any time off work! Especially for destination weddings.

When should we send our invitations?

We recommend aiming to mail your invites any time between 8 weeks and 4 months before the day. Hopefully your guests have already kept the dates free in their diaries, so the invites are there to let them know what to expect on the day and where they’ll need to travel specifically!

How long does it take to design illustrations or a bespoke suite?

Bespoke illustrations can take up to two weeks (depending on availability) and original paintings / bespoke suite designs can take up to 4 weeks to complete. This includes research, designs, painting and editing proofs.

How long does it take after designs have been sent to print?

Once proofs have been approved and we have sent your order off to print, we like to allow 2 weeks so that we can receive and check over all of the printed products ourselves. Then we will ship straight to you or get ready for collection.

If I realise I haven’t ordered enough, can I order more at a later date?

To avoid this mistake, we do recommend ordering 5 extra of each invite just in case. However, if you’d like to order more, please let us know and we will be able to accommodate. Please note this will incur an extra charge for a small print volume and postage.

Is it possible to make changes after seeing the first proof?

Yes, of course! We can provide two rounds of alterations free of charge and then every change after that is an additional £20 as we need to keep on track with our turnaround times.

What do I need to check for on proofs?

The main thing is to check for any spelling errors, grammar mistakes, or misinformation as once the proofs have been approved, these can’t be changed. If you’d like an accurate depiction of colour, we’d recommend viewing the proofs on different screens as the colours will alter slightly depending on which device you are looking at them.

I’ve already approved the proof, but now want to change my mind?

Unfortunately, once the proof has been approved and you’ve paid the final payment, it’s very likely we have already sent the designs off to print and so it’s too late to make any changes. Changing after ordering will incur an extra charge for the re-run of prints.

Shipping and Returns

Can we return paintings if we change our mind?

We don’t accept returns for stationery or commission paintings due to the fact that we will check multiple times during the process if you’re happy with everything. We also quality check everything before sending to you so there shouldn’t be any issues. If however, damage has happened during shipping, please take a photo immediately of the packaging and contents and send to us as we will re-order any affected items for you. For shop orders, please see our full return policy.

How much is postage for wedding stationery?

Depending on the quantity of products, this ranges from £10 to £16 for UK shipping.

How much is postage for commission paintings?

For UK orders, I charge £10 to £20 as this covers the special delivery rates. This means that if they are signed for and insured; if any damage were to occur, we could apply for compensation and I could redo the piece for you.
